Richard Kahn, CEO
Richard K. Kahn, CEO of eZanga.com, Inc., has been a leader in the online advertising industry since 1993. Rich started eZanga.com, an online services company specializing in pay-per-click advertising, in 2003 with his wife, Beth.
For over 17 years, Rich has specialized in all areas of the online industry. But his technological savvy began at the ripe age of nine when he wrote his first piece of software – a game he designed on his classroom computers. Soon after, he received his first personal computer as a Christmas gift and began experimenting with different ideas including the design of one of the first computer window environments. By the time he reached the age of 12, several of Rich’s ideas had become published software.
In 1993, with his interest in the budding internet age increasing, he organized and wrote an e-magazine which chronicled the latest innovations and news from the industry. Rich also used this platform to sell local advertising, creating numerous ad templates and including them in his newsletter. By the time the internet took off in 1995, Rich had launched his own Internet Service Provider called the First Street Corporation. Rich operated the First Street network out of his home while managing customers and sales from a nearby office. In 2000, with approximately 1,000 customers, he sold the company to a publicly traded organization.
Just before selling First Street, Rich co-founded Paid for Surf in 1999, which reached its first million dollar revenue in five months of operation. In 2001, Rich joined pay per click advertising network AdOrigin as its COO where he led the way to successful financial profit within three months of joining the company.
Prior to starting eZanga.com, Rich held positions with leading corporations including Verizon Wireless and Bloomberg. His experience has helped to make him a known industry expert and as a result, he has been quoted in several major publications including DM News, ADOTAS, Search Engine Watch, Search Engine Land, Wired Magazine and Crain’s New York Business, and has appeared on the CNN television network.
In Rich’s spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and four children. He also enjoys coaching and playing soccer, martial arts, watching movies and - when his busy schedule allows - vacationing and traveling to new places.
