The eZanga team is back in Middletown after a trade show trip to Ad:Tech New York. The show had an amazing turn out and the entire eZanga staff was there to witness it!
November 4th, the second day of the trade show, was very busy for eZanga! Our CEO, Rich Kahn, gave a presentation to the attending press about our newly designed search engine. Rich explained how our new eZanga search engine can pull results from more than 100 unique content sources in real time, while sorting and displaying them in a user friendly format in about one second! He also informed the press how our five year old Cash Giveaway Program has transformed into an Incentive Social Network, HopOnThis.com, with even more raffles and prizes than before! Our members are now able to stay connected and win cool prizes!
We also did our business card drawing for a Nintendo Wii gaming system. Fifteen cards were pulled before we found a winner! Remember, in order to win you must be present for the drawing. eZanga would like to congratulate Dan Waxman for being there to claim his Wii! Here’s a picture of Rich and the Wii winner Dan:
After returning from SMX in Manhattan, it’s hard to believe we already have another trade show coming up.
As for SMX, we had a great show. Our booth was consistently busy with an amazing turn out and our eZanga employees were energized and enthusiastic, as usual. On October 7th, we did our business card drawing for a Wii gaming system. Unfortunately, the first two names we pulled were not present. We would like to regretfully inform Emily Spence from Enquisite Search Analytics, and Steve Kinsley from Adaptive Marketing, both missed out. However, let’s extend a Big Congratulations to Wes Lewis with Online Performance Marketing, LP for being there to claim his Wii!
eZanga’s presence at the trade show was definitely full of excitement! Our CEO, Rich Kahn, gave an informative lecture from his article, “SEM versus SEO: The Real Story.” His perspective brought a different light to the SEM and SEO industries and we’re glad he was able to enlighten the SMX audience.

We had another successful trade show at Ad:Tech in San Francisco, CA. Our booth was set up in record time, and we were giving away our eZanga frogs as usual!
A total of eight eZanga employees traveled to San Francisco, and the trip was excellent. Between all the food and activities, we were shocked we even had time for the trade show. Our first day was spent eating and sight seeing, but we did manage to set up our booth. The next two days consisted of working the trade show. The shows keep getting better and better for eZanga. Our booth was packed, which made a great turnout for the Nintendo Wii giveaway. The first business card drawn was Jeff Kaplan from InvestorPlace Media, LLC.Unfortunately Jeff was not present to win, so congratulations to Peter Gad Friedman from Gozomo.com!We drew Peter’s card second, and he was there to claim his Wii.
We spent the last day in San Francisco touring the rest of the city.Be sure to check out our pictures and video. You can see how we got around the city, and Ben’s film debut…
eZanga’s CEO, Richard Kahn, exposes Click Fraud as the topic in his presentation at the 2008 Search Marketing Expo (SMX).
February 27, 2008, Richard Kahn, eZanga.com’s CEO, was recently selected to speak at the 2008 Search Marketing Expo (SMX) in Santa Clara, California. His discussion included various tactics to discover and eliminate click fraud from advertisers’ pay-per-click (PPC) campaigns.
In Kahn’s discussion, he revealed that “Click fraud is the practice of clicking on ads for the sole purpose of earning money directly and/or causing harm to another company’s advertising campaign.” With high levels of click fraud, the advertiser can be cheated out his or her PPC campaign due to these fraudulent clicks. Kahn went on to explain that all types of individuals are committing click fraud for various reasons such as earning fast money or simply just to knock down competition.
Kahn believes solutions for eliminating click fraud can be achieved if customers and search engines work together in spotting sources of traffic that do not convert well for their ad campaigns. These advertisers can also choose to target the geographical locations they want in order to be sure not to attract non-converting traffic. By taking advantage of performance tracking tools their search engines provide, it will help in optimizing ad campaigns.
Richard Kahn has been testing his theories of click fraud at eZanga.com, Inc., as owner of the search engine specializing in pay-per-click advertising. Kahn, along with his partner, Angel Pabon, eZanga’s COO, together have become experts in the field after they developed a fraud filtration system called Traffic Advisors. Kahn and Pabon officially launched the system on October 30, 2007, and noticed immediate results in detecting fraud.
Well, 2007 is coming to an end and it was time for eZanga’s 2nd Annual Holiday Party at Sullivan’s Steak House. The first year there were six of us. This year we grew and eighteen of us attended. Maybe next year we can rent out the whole restaurant.
A good time was had by all. There was plenty of food, fun and of course, presents. What would a party be like with out a camera? So here are some pictures that we took at the party.

eZanga’s Headquarters experienced a power surge on Tuesday September 25th that caused us to lose power and office equipment. With all of our search technology, power lines, and redundant systems, they were still no match for an unsuspecting bird that lost its life by taking out half of the power grid in our office park.
We lost many of our surge protectors, our cable TV box and it seemed we even lost our X-Box 360 With the X-Box 360 being down and the release of Halo 3 just hours before, our COO, Angel Pabon, was distraught to say the least.
We went out and replaced all of our surge protector’s with APC units and swapped out our cable TV box. Yet, our poor X-Box 360 was still down. Angel did some quick testing and found that just the power supply was dead. So you will all be happy to know that a new power supply is on order and we’ll soon be gaming again in the office.
Oh, before I forget, one of our devices caught on fire so we had to call the fire department. Five trucks showed up from three different fire stations within minutes of our call. Luckily, nothing else flamed up and we were back to work the next day. Just in case you were wondering, eZanga servers are NOT stored in our offices…we have a secured hosting facility that we use to ensure our uptime and speed.
We’ll if you do a web search for eZanga you are sure to see us on the grow. We are have been exhibiting at many trade shows and working to get more visibility as a growing web portal. In fact, we are currently ranked as the 20th most visited web portal on the web by Ranking.com.
Many of our customers are getting unbelievable results with us. They have been emailing us so we decided to start posting them to our site.
Anyway, in the usual eZanga tradition, we took our cameras to Search Engine Strategies. We had some time to play as well. Don’t forget, we gave a way another Wii. If you go to the trade shows make sure you stop by so that you can enter to win.
Well, we visited Seattle and exhibited at SMX and had a great time. We enjoyed the smaller show atmosphere, however, with Danny Sullivan behind the wheel, you can be sure that SMX will grow quickly. It’s nice to be part of the first show.
The eZanga Team recently returned from Ad:Tech in San Francisco. This is the first year that eZanga had it’s own exhibit at Ad:Tech. Our team encountered many potential clients as well as some current ones.
Now, what would a business trip be if we just worked hard? At eZanga, we like to have a little fun as well! Here are some pictures that we took while out on the west coast. (Click Here for Photos)
