We may have just gotten back from three trade shows in the past week, but we’re already gearing up for the next one! ad:Tech New York is less than three weeks away (on November 7 & 8 ) and this time, there’s even more to prepare for.
ad:tech is an international digital marketing and technology conference with 9 shows spreading across 7 countries. It’s the only conference and exhibition that “spans the full ecosystem of advertising and technology that moves business forward and changes the role of digital marketers everywhere.”
This conference is even more exciting for us because our CEO, Rich Kahn, is going to be speaking at the Search Marketing Masters session! The session is a continuation of two other sessions at the conference: “Search: 5 Things You Need to Know Right Now” and “Advanced Search Marketing: Can Local, Social, SEM & SEO All Work Together?” Rich will be joining speakers from 7search.com, adMarketplace, Didit, LookSmart, Trada, and Zenya.
As usual, we will be bringing the eZanga Jungle to ad:tech – we’ll be at booth #1425. Networking is our favorite part of trade shows and conferences, whether it’s on the exhibition floor or at outside networking events, like ad:tech’s Pub Crawl. If this sounds awesome, it’s not too late to sign up! We have a few complimentary passes to the expo hall and keynote, so email us if you want one!
On the last day, we will also be giving away an iPad! You can enter anytime by dropping your business card into the drawing, but you have to be there at the time of the drawing to win. It will be on Thursday, November 8.
Lastly, we have some very big and exciting news that we’ll be announcing at ad:tech! If you’re curious, just be patient! We’re trying to be mysterious and build anticipation here. Another month, another round of trade shows for Jimmy Hoppa, our team, and the eZanga jungle booth! This month, we have three going on in the same week, in two of the best cities in the country: Las Vegas and New York City. It’s going to be great!
From October 13-16, we will be at Direct Marketing Association’s DMA 2012 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. DMA is a global event for real-time marketers that focuses on data, customer engagement, and accountable marketing. Thought leaders and innovators will talk about topics ranging from optimizing content to social media to analytics.
Speakers and keynotes include industry leaders such as David Fischer, Vice President of Business and Marketing Partnerships at Facebook; Chris Anderson, Editor-in-Chief of Wired Magazine; and John Hunter, Executive Vice President of Customer Fulfillment Services at QVC. At DMA 2012, eZanga will be at Booth #375 and giving away an iPad at the end of the show!
On October 17, the eZanga team members that were at DMA 2012 will be walking the exhibition hall at PubCon, which is also in Las Vegas. PubCon is the premier new media and optimization conference and is over a decade old. It’s name originally came from celebratory pub gatherings, but has shifted in recent years. But even though the “Pub” in PubCon now focuses more on Web publishing, the conference has maintained the pub gathering experience. I’m sure our team in Vegas will have a lot of fun and meet great people.
Also on October 17, members of our new small business division will be at the New York Business Expo and Conference. This conference is the largest B2B conference, trade show, and networking event for budding business owners and entrepreneurs in the Northeast. It’s main focus is providing opportunities and education to small and mid-sized businesses so that they can grow. At New York Expo, eZanga will be at Booth #527 and is going to give away a $100 gift card.

Next week is sure to be a whirlwind for eZanga, as we’re going to be at not just one, but two, trade shows!
We’ll be heading to New York on August 12-14 for Affiliate Summit East, the premier conference for affiliate marketing. We will kick off the conference Sunday afternoon at the Meet Market, a face-to-face networking opportunity for merchants and affiliates to share information and foster relationships. In addition to the exhibit hall, Affiliate Summit East has multiple tracks of educational sessions covering the latest trends and information from affiliate marketing experts. Session topics include blogging, branding, mobile marketing, working with affiliates, email marketing, search engine optimization, social media, and more.
While a few members of the eZanga team are in New York at Affiliate Summit East, others will be heading over to the West Coast for SES San Francisco from August 14-15! The Search Engine Strategies conference is the leading global event series about search and social marketing. The event offers six different learning tracks with topics ranging from B2B (business-to-business) video marketing to link building to Pinterest. Between both trade shows, we’re looking forward to returning to Delaware much smarter than when we left!

The Bell Harbor International Conference Center in Seattle, Washington is swarming with exceptionally knowledgeable internet marketers at SMX Advanced 2012 this week.
Hosted by Third Door Media (the company behind Search Engine Land), SMX Advanced is a condensed two day event designed to fuse the networks of the brightest minds in the industry. With an emphasis on building relationships, jam-packed sessions incorporate enlightening workshops with familiar moderators and distinguished keynote speakers. The event focuses on four major themes: SEO, paid search, mobile and an advanced blend of marketing strategies titled “Hardcore”. Popular sessions highlight the best tactics and tools for PPC, remarketing, analytics and the integration of search and social. The packed workshops and engaging networking events have created a buzzing excitement on live blogs, Twitter, Facebook and even Google+! eZanga marketers are participating in the enthusiasm, attending the sold out sessions and utilizing the event’s Twitter hashtag, #SMX.
The most talked about keynote has been the “You & A” with Google’s web spam team leader, Matt Cutts. Moderated by Search Engine Land’s Danny Sullivan, the audience had the ability to ask Matt questions about hot topics such as the latest Penguin updates, the Knowledge Graph, the War on Spam and Google Plus. As you may have already read, eZanga traveled to San Francisco last week for ad:tech San Francisco 2012. Trade shows like ad:tech are all about meeting new people in the industry and sharing ideas and knowledge. In keeping with this, Murray Newlands of Performance Marketing Insider interviewed our CEO, Rich Kahn, to discuss search marketing tips and what you get when you work with eZanga for a campaign. Thousands of advertising, media, marketing and technology professionals, including members of the eZanga team, gathered in San Francisco on April 3 and 4 for ad:tech San Francisco 2012.
There were 7 keynotes and over 35 breakout sessions covering an array of topics, such as affiliate marketing, online deal-hunting, online gaming, and developing mobile apps. Keynote speakers included Lisa Utzschneider, Guy Kawasaki, and Robert Scoble, with other industry leaders everywhere you turned. Speakers came from such companies as Amazon, Hearst Magazines, Pandora, and Zynga.
In addition to all of these sessions, there was also the exhibition hall. The eZanga booth was impossible to miss, with a full jungle where our mascot, Jimmy Hoppa, was on safari.
Attendees would drop by to network, grab an eZanga lanyard for their conference ID badges, and explore the jungle. The eZanga booth was even recognized as one of the most creative booths in the expo hall! AllVoices.com’s coverage of ad:tech recognized us second only to a bearded man dressed as a baby angel on a bed of clouds!
At the end of the second day’s activities, attendees flocked to our booth to see whose business card would be pulled from the raffle bag to win an iPad, with several entering at the last minute. Since you needed to be present at the drawing in order to win, card after card was pulled while the crowd’s anticipation grew greater. The 5th business card pulled was the winner, belonging to William J. Haddad, the Vice President of Operations at Roxbury Digital. Congratulations, William!

The New York Hilton was packed with high energy, online marketing professionals this past week while the SES conference was in town. Search Engine Strategies is a concentrated series of networking events, keynotes, roundtable sessions and an expo hall bursting with industry related resources. The vastly anticipated show expected over 4,000 attendees and is the largest search and social media event of its kind.
It was nearly impossible to miss eZanga.com at the SES NY expo hall. Safari dressed Jimmy Hoppa directed you to the infamous jungle themed booth, attendees sported an eZanga.com lanyard for their badges and Richard Kahn, CEO directed the “Generating Leads from PPC and SEO” discussion at the Meet The Expert forums.
At the close of the show, an enthusiastic crowd gathered to hear if they would be taking home a new iPad 2. Since you must be present to win, the crowd was eagerly awaiting the next card pulled. It was the 7th card that won! Congratulations, Derek Rubinstein of Elite SEM!
