Inc. Magazine recently released the annual Inc. 500|5000 list for 2012. The list ranks the top 5000 fastest-growing, private companies in the nation, according to percentage growth over the past four years. It started out as the Inc. 500 list in 1982, but the magazine expanded the list to the Inc. 5000 in 2007 to represent a "broader and deeper understanding of the entrepreneurial landscape, as well as recognize a larger percentage of this important and growing market segment."

As Eric Schurenberg, the Editor-in-chief of Inc. Magazine, put it himself, being included on the list this year in particular indicates that a company "had to thrive through three of the toughest years this economy has seen in living memory." The 2012 list of companies have proven growth potential and staying power. This is why is so pleased to have made the list this year, for the fifth year in a row. The economy has gone through a lot since 2008, when first appeared on the list in position #193. Schurenberg describes companies that remain on the list as creative, resilient, and tenacious.
