Oh, it’s over? Talk about a Halloween hangover. I guess my head’s still rolling from all the fun we had last week! We pulled some tricks, scarfed down some treats, and donned our creepiest attire. You’ve seen some of cute and creepy crawlers that have graced our office in the past, but what did our ghastly group of ghosts and ghouls thrill us with this year?
eZanga Resurrects the Ghosts of Halloween Past
All Hallow’s Eve is fast approaching and the eZanga team can’t wait! You know we love to play hard, so you shouldn’t be surprised that this ghastly crew takes Halloween very seriously.
In the past, we’ve played some mischievous pranks, dressed up in ghostly attire, and howled until the sun went down, so we’re anxiously awaiting the one day of the year when we can be on our scariest behavior.
Intern Manifesto: What Sam's Internship Was Like
It’s been a rollercoaster ride of a summer for me at eZanga, and the best way for me to explain it would have to be with lyrics from Queen and David Bowie’s Under Pressure. Sometimes, you just feel the pressure of feeling like a real employee here.
With any new experience comes goods times and struggles. Developing a lighter tone when writing, rather than the news-y tone that I’m more used to, has been my biggest challenge this summer and honestly, it’s probably something that I will still be working on. Not to mention all the research, deadlines, and edits. How did I ever survive!? It may take some time to recover.
Now, I would not call myself a lucky person by any means, in fact, I’m pretty sure there’s a dark cloud that follows me around. Don’t get too close, or you might catch it. But I would have to say that I’m very lucky to have found this internship!
eZanga Wing Bowl 2014
It’s no secret we love to eat hard at eZanga, and we’re all competitive sports fans. So how does eZanga celebrate the official start to pro football season? By bringing back eZanga’s Wing Bowl, of course! This year’s match-up: the Fowl Mouths vs. the Wing Men.
Bazinga! A Prank-Filled Send-Off for the Interns
It’s no secret that we love a good prank war here at eZanga, and when our interns casually mentioned that they hadn’t been pranked yet, their voices filled with hope, we knew it was ON! Whether it was a classic frogging, the much-coveted balloon pit, or a cringeworthy Bieber man-cave, these interns totally got pwned.
Meet the Parents (of eZanga): Beth and Rich Kahn
Entrepreneurship is not for the faint of heart, or the easily stressed and frazzled. It’s a good thing our eZanga parents are used to managing a brood of crazy kids (they have four teenagers!), because they have an office full of kids here at eZanga too.
See, Beth and Rich started eZanga 11 years ago, with the philosophy to work hard, play hard, and eat hard. eZanga’s mom and dad wanted to have an effective but fun work environment. They wanted to leave an impact that would eventually make eZanga a household name.
Intern Manifesto: What Gary's Internship Was Like
My time interning at eZanga has been one of immense learning and a great experience for me. When I started at eZanga, the only marketing experience I had was my time in Intro to Marketing at UD, which equates to about nothing.
So, coming into a marketing position from doing computer science for the past three years meant I had very little knowledge of what was going to happen and what I was going to be expected to do.
An Open Letter to Our Summer 2014 Interns
I am watching each of you experience the thrill of knowing when you have done something that you know will alter the path of your life. I fully believe not all of you knew what you were getting yourselves into when joining eZanga. And, yet, I think most of you will miss us once you’re gone.
But I am going to let you in on a secret – we’re going to miss you, too. I know, let the sappiness roll, but really, we will. Not because you baked us cookies, or got us coffee (not that we’re complaining), but because we think that each of you have walked away with skills and knowledge that will help make you a tremendous asset in your first job.
Hopefully, you’ve reflected on what you learned here at eZanga. But in case you haven’t, here are my observations and nuggets of wisdom to take with you, wherever you may go after this.
Bye, Bye, Little Intern Birdies
It’s time for us summer interns to say goodbye. We’ve had a great time hanging out with the eZanga team this summer, but now it’s time for these little birdies to spread their wings and fly. But before we do that, we want to share with you what we’ve learned this summer, and what we’ll miss most after we’ve said our tearful goodbyes.
Intern Manifesto: What Marty's Internship Was Like
Grab a diet coke, a frozen pack of Reese’s cups, get turnt on either the Nicki Minaj or '90s Throwback Spotify station, and get to werk on my articles. (Yes I said werk. I am ashamed of myself.)
Welcome to my intern life at eZanga.
