This month’s Employee Spotlight focuses on Eli Martin, our Director of Sales. Eli is near and dear to us here at eZanga, so when his time for the hot seat came, we were eager to get started. Whenever Eli isn’t working with his account managers, he can be found talking to our CEO, which is exactly where we found him the other day.
Give a Warm, Wintery Welcome to Our New Interns
It may be cold outside, but that won’t stop us from giving a warm welcome to our latest interns.
You may be thinking, “Megan, most colleges are on winter break. How do you have new interns already?” It’s simple: we created a special program designed for students on break.
eZanga Gets Their Ugly Sweater On
We’ve already celebrated Halloween and Thanksgiving; but there’s something special about the winter holidays that make you feel all warm and fuzzy. Last month we celebrated the most wonderful time of the year! There was a certain chill to the air, and the east coast had been hit with its first taste of wintery goodness.
Welcome to Our Winter 2015 Interns
Resolutions are a funny thing. This time of year, many give it the good ole’ college try and commit to losing that last 15 (okay, 20) pounds, cut back on buying those cute shoes, or even go for that big promotion. We make resolutions, and sometimes break them. And it’s okay if you do too, we won’t judge you.
As we usher in a new class of interns for our first ever mini-internship, I encourage you to reach out to some of our past interns (here and here) and ask what their first day was like. I think some will say scary, others will say boring, and some might say awesome. But if you ask each of them what they wanted from their internship, they’ll tell you that they put their goals down on paper, too. And we discussed their goals - often - to make sure we were meeting their expectations.
So, today I do the same for you. Here are the resolutions, or goals, I have for each of you:
An Open Letter to Our Fall 2014 Interns
What’s the good in that, right? I mean, if you're going to show up to ‘work’ and put effort into something, you should get something out of it, right? Sure, we cater lunch in and have a fully stocked kitchen with every candy you might desire. And, if you want to come in early or stay late, you could enjoy cable TV (gasp!) or the latest Madden video game in the lounge. But yeah, you’re still not getting paid, and you're only earning course credit for being here. Sorry about your luck.
But did you know sometimes it’s not about the money? Yep, it’s not.
Our Fall Interns Take Their Final Bow
It’s sad to say, but it’s curtain call time for our fall interns. We’ve had some good times with these crazy kids, and we hate to see them go. But, like the interns before them, they’ve got to spread their wings and fly. Luckily, we got one more sit down with them before their final bows.
What Are Our Interns up To?
Remember that group of interns we introduced you to a few weeks ago?
They’re still hanging out with us, and it’s about time we check in! What have they been up to in the last few weeks?
Better yet, what fun stuff have they done during their internship at eZanga?
Well, let’s see how our fall interns are getting into the swing of things around here, shall we?
Happy Halloween From eZanga!
Oh, it’s over? Talk about a Halloween hangover. I guess my head’s still rolling from all the fun we had last week! We pulled some tricks, scarfed down some treats, and donned our creepiest attire. You’ve seen some of cute and creepy crawlers that have graced our office in the past, but what did our ghastly group of ghosts and ghouls thrill us with this year?
eZanga Resurrects the Ghosts of Halloween Past
All Hallow’s Eve is fast approaching and the eZanga team can’t wait! You know we love to play hard, so you shouldn’t be surprised that this ghastly crew takes Halloween very seriously.
In the past, we’ve played some mischievous pranks, dressed up in ghostly attire, and howled until the sun went down, so we’re anxiously awaiting the one day of the year when we can be on our scariest behavior.
Fall Into eZanga With Our Newest Intern Crop
Fall is seen as a fresh start: the start to a new school year, a new quarter, and a new season. With all this new stuff going around, it’s no wonder we’ve snagged ourselves a few new interns!
Between their college classes, they’ll be spending time with the eZanga crew, having fun, and learning new skills to use after graduation.
I know you can’t wait to meet them, so I won’t keep you any longer. It’s time to unveil our Fall 2014 minions...I mean, interns.
